Long time...still no see

I was planning on going to BWI today so I could take my annual computer based training for driving around runways and taxiways. While down there, I was hoping to hook up with Rob and maybe grab a bit to eat or something with him. Ironically enough....this time when he and I spoke, it wasn't me out of town, it was him. Bobby Boy is down in Florida, not too far from where I was a few months ago when I flew into Hulbert Field. He's about 50 miles east of Pensacola. Anyway....scratch that idea. One day, hopefully soon, I'll be able to sit down with my friend and share a few laughs about the world and the color of poo.

It has been a very light work day today. Taking that into consideration, I thought maybe I should schedule a flight lesson. I scrapped my BWI trip after I spoke with the airport operations manager and asked if I could take this training next week while I'm at the airport. You know...save gas...save the world...whatever! Anyway, I tried to schedule a short notice lesson, but before I got too far, I checked the weather and the wind was bit on the strong side...well...even though I would be comfortable flying in it....my instructor never called me back.

Now....my slightly recycled plan for the night is to study. Talk about a rocking exciting Friday night. Before I sit down and soak up Private Pilot knowledge, I'll go for a drive. Sometimes....you just feel like getting out of the house for a little while. When you work at home and you get to the level of wanting to get out of the house...it almost feels magnified. At some point, maybe I'll contemplate the inner workings of what it's like when you work at home and want to get some fresh air....as for today....I'm just going to go drive around until I feel as though I've left the house. So much for gas conservation and saving the world. Who says we aren't free in America anymore?

Can you imagine if the Mamma's and the Pappa's were in Guatamala when they tried to write songs? How horrible with California Deaming sound if it were Guatamala instead? Even more puzzling then that - Why does it take an act of God for Bryan Dahn to get an ID badge?
