I just got a phone call from my mother (1610L) and was told that her mother past away at about 1500L. Just a few weeks back, I was sitting on the side of her bed and talking with her. She was awake, alert and you would never know she was ill if she wasn't breathing oxygen. It's not a shock that she passed, but it still hurts none the less.
She always used to talk about her youth and even had an article published in a book about Milford, CT. She used to look back fondly at the days when she was young and grew up down on Walnut Beach. My grandmother grew up and spent her whole life living in Milford. Most of her friends stayed in the same town too. I'll never forget the stories about how she spent her youth....hanging out in that beach town on the special beach (Walnut) and spending her best days of her life with "sand in her shoes."
Her heart was with her friends that past, her soul has been focused on being back with her friends....down at Walnut Beach. I do believe that she's with her mom that she loved so dearly...and is surrounded by all of her friends that she shared special relationships with her entire life.
I miss you Grandma.

And she has the sand in her shoes, again...
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayer...
