Today, I was off. It was so nice to be off on a weekday...all day. I can't remember the last time that my schedule was so empty on a weekday. Sheri started at the dealership full time today. In honor of this rare free time, I spent much of the day doing some random things.
I took my Honda to the Nissan Dealership for some work and an oil change. It's so nice to have a discount at a dealership. Speaking of the dealership, while I was there, I spoke with Dennis, the service manager. He's been extremely helpful. He pointed out my Nissan engine (which is still in hundreds of pieces on the floor) has a cracked engine block. Thank God for my warranty. Nissan is paying to have a BRAND NEW, right out of the factory, Engine. You just can't beat that. My opinion of Nissan his warming up, based on these recent events. The Honda had it's rotors turned, an oil change and a new left side CV boot installed. I can't thank Dennis enough for his kindness and communication. As it turns out, the old manager left the dealership and it has been Dennis who's been my biggest advocate. Greg was a nice guy...but really showed that he couldn't give two shits about me as a customer, nor did he care to really dig into how severe my engine troubles were. While at the dealership today, Sheri seemed like she was more comfortable than the last time I saw her. I witnessed her wheeling and dealing on behalf of her potential client....trying to get a deal on the table and get it closed. Good Job Honey! I always feel so guilty spending time on the showroom floor as I know this is a new job for her....but it's still a showroom floor and it's a cool place to be.
After leaving the dealership with my Honda back in smooth running condition, I came back home and worked on uploading and editing some of my video from flying this weekend. I'm not very strong at being creative and working with Multi-Media software. So, I drank 2 beers. The beer didn't do shit for my creativity, but I'm feeling marvelous. Wow...I'm such a light weight...eh...who cares....Life is good and my wife will be home soon. Hopefully, she'll have sold her first car and I'll help her celebrate by drinking a third beer. You know what they say.....Good things come in Threes!
